TKI dojos

Triangle Kendo was originally started to provide low cost access to kendo and iaido training in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. We had decided to align ourselves with the three major local universities North Carolina State University, Duke University and UNC Chapel Hill. The Duke and UNC dojos still practice on their respective campuses but the NC State dojo now practices at a private health club in Raleigh. We are a non-profit organization and none of our instructors are paid to teach kendo. Each dojo charges a nominal facility fee, for the NC State dojo that covers the cost of renting practice space. In the case of the Duke and UNC dojos people that are not students at the university are charged a fee that is set be the university and TKI sees none of the money involved. 

 All TKI members are welcome to practice at any of the dojos regardless of which dojo is their 'home' dojo. Please contact the dojo representative or Mike Watson for more information regarding practices.
